A long walk and the Midnight Cruise

We started the day by walking east along the bay; I know that I said that last time but I was wrong we walked west last time. Sharon didn’t think that we would be able to walk all the way around the coast because it stopped but you can, there is a footpath through a park. It took us about 90 minutes (England could have lost a football match in that time) and it was hot at about 35C. Hot but we enjoyed it as it was a very pretty walk. Eventually we spotted Danny and Sharon on the beach at the east end of Icmeler and we joined them. The sea was lovely and cold and refreshing but once you had been in for a few minutes it started to feel quite warm.

Over here they give you free sunbeds etc as long as you buy your drinks and lunch from them. I had a lovely tuna salad while Claire had a cheeseburger and chips; wish I wasn’t diabetic. Very nice and still only 2TL for the bus back. While we were out Danny and Sharon talked us into going on the midnight cruise with them. We set off at 7.30pm and arrived back at 11.50pm, some midnight cruise.

We stopped off at our local for a beer on the way home and ended up going to bed at 4am so another day that we are knackered. Typical, I took my laptop to the internet place but they were full up and as we needed to rush to get the boat trip we never had time to wait. Anyway, I checked my emails in the morning and Lynn and Mick are already in Marmaris. Also we have had an offer for the full asking price on our house; only one trouble they haven’t sold theirs yet. Anyway, its getting promising.

After we had checked our emails etc we had another 90 minute walk in the flaming heat. We walked all over but ended up at the castle and had a walk around the bazaar, it was just like Ali Baba except hotter. As we had missed breakfast again I went for the full English at 5TL which will do me until tonight. Claire had fruit juice and fresh fruit at 15TL and now she’s hungry again and has gone to eat lunch. Never mind at least she stays nice and thin.

Hi Emma! Glad you still following although we've been very lazy of late. BTW sad news, we've had an offer on the house for the full asking price. Tell you all the details when we get home x
